A healthy ecosystem for life under water
Oxygen Valley works to restore a healthy ecosystem in freshwater, with Mariager Fjord as the starting point.
As a non-profit project organization, we aim to promote biodiversity, life, and plants under water. We will do this through a wide range of nature restoration initiatives, where research and innovation collaborations will contribute and, over time, help us succeed with our mission. We will also involve local citizens along the way, when and where it makes sense. Likewise, we will ensure a bridge for knowledge sharing in Denmark, to and from the EU, about best practice in this field, which in recent years has become a global challenge.
Oxygen Valley works together with Hydrogen Valley – we are located at Cemtec.
Oxygen Valley operates under the umbrella of the Cemtec Foundation, in a vibrant professional community in the Cemtec business park, together with Hydrogen Valley and other tenants as allies in the work on sustainable agendas both locally and globally. While Oxygen Valley works with life under water, Hydrogen Valley is closely connected to sustainable energy and a future climate where there is room for life both above and below water.

Cluster competences for innovation, growth, and the green transition
The Cemtec business park houses 7 serviced office buildings, offering both headquarters for large commercial leases as well as smaller individual offices and coworking spaces. For many years, Cemtec has also provided the physical framework for Hydrogen Valley’s work with green fuels, CCUS, and Power-to-X activities, promoting the reduction of harmful CO2 emissions and supporting the fight against climate change. Oxygen Valley’s work to promote biodiversity is driven by a team based at Cemtec, working in collaboration with Hydrogen Valley. In this symbiosis, the full potential of the Cemtec Foundation’s goal is realized – to create growth, development, innovation, and contribute to advancing the green transition.
